Say it with me: G.O.A.T.
Watching Simone Biles's Triple-Double Floor Stunt in Slow Motion Is Jaw-Dropping
We all know Simone Biles is the G.O.A.T. The 24-year-old gymnast is set to rock the Tokyo Olympic Games, which kick off July 23. And to prepare, the internet is re-watching her old routines on a loop.
But the NBC Olympics TikTok is taking things a step further: It recently shared a slow-motion video of Biles doing her wildly impressive triple-double floor stunt at the 2021 U.S. Olympic Trials. For the uninitiated, that's when a gymnast does two backflips and twists three times in the air. Watching it in general is jaw-dropping, but in slow-motion, you'll be even more captivated.
Simone Biles is Glamour's most recent cover star. In her interview, she opened up about how she's approaching the 2021 Olympics. “Before I would only focus on the gym,” she said. “But me being happy outside the gym is just as important as me being happy and doing well in the gym. Now it’s like everything’s coming together.”
“I’m not a little girl anymore. It’s definitely up to me. Nobody’s forcing me,” she said on competing in the Olympics. “Whenever you’re younger, you feel like it’s a job, and you have to be pushed. But now it’s like, This is what I want to do, so that’s why I’m here.”
She added, “I know I’m doing it for me. I do it because I still have such a passion for it.”

In April, Simone Biles opened up about one of her biggest motivations for competing in the Tokyo Olympic Games: to represent survivors of sexual abuse, particularly the victims of the former Team USA gymnastics doctor, Larry Nassar. “I feel like, if there weren't a remaining survivor in the sport, they would have just brushed it to the side,” she told Today. “But since I'm still here and I have quite a social media presence and platform, they have to do something. So I feel like coming back, gymnastics just wasn't the only purpose I was supposed to do.”
