We Just Got More Details on Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde’s Rumored Relationship
Harry Styles is allegedly dating Olivia Wilde—and I honestly don't know which person I'm more jealous of.
TMZ reported on the (rumored) new couple January 4, citing that Wilde was the singer's plus-one to a wedding he officiated the previous weekend.
Evidence of their probably-relationship is strong. For one, there are photos of Styles and Wilde holding hands at the wedding, which you can see here. “They were in Montecito, California, this weekend for a wedding,” a source told People. “They were affectionate around their friends, held hands, and looked very happy. They have dated for a few weeks.” A! Few! Weeks! Wilde, 36, and Styles, 26, were also photographed arriving back at his home in L.A. with their luggage.
Wilde is currently directing Styles in the movie Don't Worry Darling, which began filming in October 2020. Wilde also stars in the film alongside Styles, who was brought on to replace Shia Labeouf. Styles took on the role in September after Wilde allegedly fired LaBeouf over poor behavior, per Vulture. The psychological thriller, which takes place in the 1950s, also stars Florence Pugh and Chris Pine.
According to a source that spoke to People, love quickly blossomed on set. “What started out as a close friendship, quickly turned romantic,” says the insider. “Everyone saw it coming. During breaks, he wasn't able to stay away and visited her trailer.” In a picture you can see here, Styles stands outside Wilde's trailer as she leans out the door, smiling. It's not not the Romeo and Juliet balcony scene.
The Booksmart director announced in mid-November 2020 that she and her fiancé of seven years, Jason Sudeikis, had split toward the beginning of the year. “It’s been amicable and they’ve transitioned into a great coparenting routine,” a source told People. “The children are the priority and the heart of the family’s relationship.” The pair share a six-year-old son, Otis, and a four-year-old daughter, Daisy.
As for Styles, his last public relationship was with Victoria's Secret model Camille Rowe, which ended after about a year in 2018.
Wilde recently defended her reported boyfriend after the whole Vogue dress drama with Candace Owens. “You're pathetic,” she replied to Owens in November.
