The actor, who is Bulgari’s new brand ambassador, shares what she’s into fashion-wise at the moment.
What’s Inside Priyanka Chopra Jonas’s Jewelry Box
Priyanka Chopra Jonas is having herself an English summer. Currently in the U.K. filming her new Amazon Prime series, Citadel, the Indian actor tells Vogue she’s already made herself completely at home in London (she and husband Nick Jonas typically spend a lot of time between Los Angeles and India). “English summers are one of my favorite things,” Chopra Jonas says. “I do a lot of outdoor activities—I go biking, hiking, and take my dogs out.”
Though she has her hands full with acting responsibilities at the moment, Chopra Jonas has also recently taken on a new fashion project. This week, she became Bulgari’s new global brand ambassador, and she will support the jewelry label, “in the amplification of its brand around the world,” with a focus on highlighting, “women empowerment, diversity, and inclusion.” To start, both she and Bulgari are planning to raise funds for COVID-19 relief in India, and have more projects to be announced in the future. Though this is not her only partnership championing inclusivity and activism. In June, Chopra Jonas also was announced as a face for Victoria’s Secret’s VS Collective. The star says she wants to continue partnering with these types of labels that stand for a bigger cause than just style. “Philanthropy has just been a very integral part of my family,” Chopra Jonas says. “It was just what me and my brother saw at home. Our parents led by example.”
It’s only natural that Chopra Jonas is a big jewelry collector herself. She’s always been a fan of Bulgari’s timeless designs, both on and off the red carpet. “Their jewelry is known for its craftsmanship,” she says. “Their creations are so bold and elegant, and a lot of their beautiful gemstones come from India. I recently wore a beautiful turquoise piece for the BAFTAs.” The actor’s own personal collection of jewelry ranges from the high to the low. “Over the years, I have [grown] a personal collection that I am quite proud of,” Chopra Jonas says. “I’ve collected jewelry from around the world. I wasn’t like that when I was a teenager, though; I guess I was waiting to be able to buy diamonds.” Her favorite pieces? “My [Bulgari] Serpenti bracelet,” she says. “My wedding necklace is also by Sabyasachi, made of three pieces of uncut diamonds. I really love it; it’s unique and was custom-designed for me.” She also has precious family heirlooms in her jewelry box, including her father’s Rolex. “I love men’s watches,” she says.
