Winter Scarves Don't Have to Be Boring, and These 20 Prove It
It's funny how it always seems to be the seemingly "boring" purchases that become the ones we rely on the most—just think of items such as underwear, pyjamas, and glasses. In the depths of the British winter, the humble scarf is definitely one such item. In my experience, it's the sort of accessory that you just expect to be there at your beck and call the moment October arrives and one you won't remove until spring hits. But when you suddenly realise you need a new one, it can be hard to know where to start.
Following an unfortunate moth-related incident last year, I was on the lookout for a new scarf this winter and was exhausted by the sheer number of options on offer. I ended up going for a colourful ACNE Studios number, and I have to say that it really has been a cold-weather game changer. In a similar way to picking a good winter coat, a scarf is one of the few parts of an outfit you can see when you're out and about, so it has the potential to elevate any look.
As boring as it might seem, I would recommend investing a bit of time the next time you go hunting for a new scarf. To make your hunt a bit easier, I've put together an edit of the styles that I've spotted on the market right now that I think will look fab and last for many seasons to come. Scroll down to see what I found.
