The 'Spider-Man' costars have been fending off romance rumors for years.
Zendaya and Tom Holland's Kissing Photos Are Causing a Meltdown on Twitter
After nearly four years of speculation, it appears Zendaya and Tom Holland might actually be a couple.
On July 2, Page Six shared new photos of the Spider-Man costars kissing in Holland's car, which instantly sparked a massive celebration on Twitter. According to their report, Holland gave the Euphoria actor a kiss while stopping at a red light in Los Angeles on Thursday, July 1. Along with the photos (which you can see here), the report claims the actors were spotted in Silver Lake with Zendaya's mom, Claire Stoermer, that same day.
Obviously, fans on Twitter were undeniably excited. At pub time, not only was Zendaya trending worldwide on the app but Tom Holland, “Peter,” and “#SpiderManNoWayHome” were listed as trending topics as well. “FUCKING FINALLY. TOM HOLLAND AND ZENDAYA ARE OFFICIALLY TOGETHER,” one excited user tweeted. Another added, “THIS IS NOT A DRILL. I REPEAT THIS IS NOT A DRILL.”

While the excitement surrounding celebrity couples is nothing new, at least part of the enthusiastic response has to be credited to the years of speculation surrounding Zendaya and Holland's relationship.
Rumors first sparked in 2017 after the pair starred in their first film together, Spider-Man: Homecoming. Though the pair denied dating rumors, sources at the time said they were keeping their relationship quiet.
“They started seeing each other while they were filming Spider-Man,” a source told People at the time. “They’ve been super careful to keep it private and out of the public eye but they’ve gone on vacations with each other and try and spend as much time as possible with one another.”
Meanwhile, another source claimed they shared a sense of humor. “They’re both really ambitious and they challenge each other — but, most importantly, they make each other crack up," the source said. "They seem to have a really similar sense of humor and love joking around together. They have great banter back and forth.”
That shared sense of humor was on full display as they shot down the dating rumors. “Wait wait…my favorite is when it says we go on vacations together HA! I haven’t been on a vacation in years! hbu @TomHolland1996 ???” Zendaya tweeted, to which he responded, “Does the press tour count.”

Now, some fans are joking about the way the pair has been playing it cool all these years (though it should be noted that both actors have been linked with other romantic partners in the interim).
