Zendaya’s ‘Dune’ Red Carpet Looks Are Breaking the Internet
Zendaya's Dunered-carpet looks have been flooding the internet. From sculpted gowns to oversized blazers, she's promoting her performance in the upcoming Denis Villeneuve film flawlessly. Before catching the movie on October 22 (in theaters and on HBO Max), follow her showstopping looks, below.
We'd be remiss not to mention the look that first set Twitter ablaze. On the red carpet for the 78th Venice International Film Festival, Zendaya wore a Balmain nude leather gown that managed to look wet and dry at the same time. Her power!
The dress's fabric drapes off her as though she were a Greek marble statue—not surprising considering designer Olivier Rousteing created the dress using a “cast model of [Zendaya's] bust.” Rousteing, in an Instagram post, praised Zendaya in the gown, calling her a “goddess.” (Duh.)
“I am so proud of this dress,” Rousteing wrote. “Thank you @zendaya for showing our savoir faire.” She paired the dress with a 93-carat emerald Bulgari necklace.
Just hours before the red-carpet reveal on September 3, Zendaya arrived gracefully in Venice. As a house ambassador for Valentino, she repped the brand beautifully in a floor-length white dress, featuring a lapel collar and a pink satin ribbon belt at the waist. She sported a black blazer and tied the look together with a pair of classic black Christian Louboutin pointed-toe pumps.
White dresses are clearly a favorite for Zendaya: On September 4 her stylist, Law Roach, posted a photo to Instagram of her in a Dion Lee floor-length white gown. Stevie Wonder's “Isn't She Lovely” is playing in the background of the post, and yes, she is.
On September 6, Zendaya was promoting Dune in Paris while wearing an oxblood two-piece Alaïa ensemble.
The outfit was composed of a long-sleeve, high-neck crop top and a tapered skirt that flared out at the knee into a gorgeous feathered train. The look was designed by Alaïa's creative director, Pieter Mulier, and accessorized with a pair of Jimmy Choos.
