Now Playing: Mario Kart World – 21 Minutes Of Official Grand Prix and Free Roam Gameplay | Nintendo Switch 2

So far, there are 32 courses confirmed for Mario Kart World--and that doesn't even include Knockout Tour tracks or Free Roam. A reverse option would double that number to 64 for possibly the iconic Grand Prix mode in the Switch 2 exclusive, which will launch alongside the system on June 5.

Earlier this month, Nintendo revealed that Mario Kart World actually started development as an original Switch game. Developers on the game also discussed how a "silly sketch" led to Cow becoming a playable character. So far, 50 new characters have been noticed for Mario Kart World, with 24 racers on a course at one time for the first time in franchise history.

For more, check out GameSpot's Mario Kart World hands-on preview. In addition, the game is available for preorder.
