If you're curious about the method, it has to do with some of the special properties associated with Mario's turn-around action. Pannenkoek2012 is well-known in the Super Mario 64 community for breaking down obscure aspects of the game in lengthy videos. They're the video maker who infamously collected the star Watch for Rolling Rocks in "0.5 A presses," a feat they accomplished using multiple glitches, including "parallel universes" (Pannenkoek has since collected the star with 0 A presses with a new strategy).
