Ghost Of Yotei Brings Back Kurosawa Mode, Adds New Modes From Samurai Film Directors

Akira Kurosawa isn't the only Samurai movie director getting his due in Ghost of Yotei
Near the end of the gameplay deep dive video, the Ghost of Yotei devs disclosed a partnership with 13 Assassins director Takashi Miike for another mode which brings players a more intimate glimpse of the battle sequences "for a more intense, raw experience along with increased mud and blood splatter."
The third collaboration is with Samurai Champloo director Shinichirō Watanabe. The dev team noted that Watanabe actually directed his mode in the game, which adds some original lo-fi tracks to Ghost of Yotei's soundtrack.
One of the biggest revelations out of this State of Play is that Ghost of Yotei's protagonist, Atsu, isn't limited to weapons used by Samurai or shinobi. Instead, Atsu can carry an arsenal of weapons and unleash them as she sees fit. Atsu is also able to align herself with other characters, including a wolf.
Sony also announced a pair of Ghost of Yotei limited-edition PS5 bundles that will be released alongside the game on October 2.
