What makes this impressive is that Studio Gobo aimed to capture the look and feel of the Horizon series as accurately as possible, from the small details to the more majestic locales that Aloy explores on her journey.

"We started out in a very realistic way, by rebuilding the original Old World buildings from the Horizon games," Guerrilla art director Roy Postma added. "Then someone sneaked in an official Lego set in the background, I believe it was the Lego gas station, and we were looking at it like 'ah this can work, this is fun!' It totally made sense for the Old World to be our Lego world."

Lego Horizon Adventures is out on November 14, and while it remains to be seen if the IP meshes well with the comedic nature of a Lego game, it could be the first of several family-friendly games that Sony wants to focus more on.

Horizon fans looking to explore the original game in the series can also check out the remastered version of Horizon Zero Dawn. This upgraded edition of the game overhauls the visuals significantly, bringing them up to the same standard as Horizon Forbidden West.
