Now Playing: Battlefield 6 - Official Reveal Trailer
The legal disclaimer date lines up with an earlier report that Battlefield 6 would arrive October 10. It's currently unclear if EA will offer earlier access to the game prior to October 10 for those who preorder a more expensive version, as has been the case with Battlefield games in the past.
Battlefield 6's reveal trailer shows an America under siege by a mysterious mercenary group called Pax Armata, which the US President declares no country is safe from. The trailer then highlights everything fans of the franchise love, namely destructible buildings, drivable vehicles, big explosions, and, of course, the iconic Battlefield theme music.
A Battlefield 6 multiplayer reveal is set for July 31 and will put the spotlight on the game's "jaw-dropping maps" and "modes new and returning," according to EA.
While Battlefield 6's release date seems to be right around the corner, players have already had the chance to play aspects of it via EA's ongoing Battlefield Labs playtests. It is through Battlefield Labs that we already know some of the game's core multiplayer features, like the return of the franchise's class system, the somewhat controversial choice to allow classes to use any weapon, a new training mechanic that gives players escalating perks and abilities over the course of a match, and more.
EA has confirmed there will be a Battlefield 6 open beta ahead of launch, and though we don't yet know the dates, it was confirmed it would feature playlists that both allow for or disable class-locked weapons.
