Cloud, Terra, and a handful of other Final Fantasy heroes are going to be available in Magic: The Gathering Arena

Final Fantasy Commander Cards Are Coming To Magic: The Gathering Arena

There's no guarantee that all of the Final Fantasy cards will be heading to Arena, but it leaves the door open for more. While only four of the Final Fantasy titles are represented in the current batch of commanders, Wizards of the Coast's official site notes from "every mainline Final Fantasy game" will appear as "depicted through the lens of Magic: The Gathering."

The currently announced Commander decks will retell the stories of Final Fantasy VI, Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy X, and Final Fantasy XIV. Wizards of the Coast also teased two new mechanics that will be introduced to Magic: The Gathering through this crossover collaboration. However, details for those additions are being held back until May.

Magic: The Gathering's Final Fantasy card decks will hit stores on June 13, and preorders are live. For now, there's no word as to when the Final Fantasy Commander cards will debut in Magic: The Gathering Arena.
