New Free-To-Play Gran Turismo Game Revealed, And It's Out Very Soon
Developed by Polyphony, My First Gran Turismo launches this week for PS5 and PS4 as a pseudo-demo to Gran Turismo 7
"This isn't just about playing a game; it’s about embarking on a personal driving journey," Polyphony Digital president Kazunori Yamauchi said in a PS Blog post. "We've made sure the experience is intuitive, allowing anyone to get behind the wheel and master the essentials, such as cornering, braking, and acceleration. By playing it, users will build confidence one lap at a time, tackling new challenges that’ll steadily refine their driving skills. "
My First Gran Turismo will launch with several racing and time-trial stages, as well as three "Music Rally" levels. Players can also take part in License Tests and there'll be 18 unique cars to unlock and learn about. Some of the tracks that players can drive on include Kyoto Driving Park, Deep Forest Raceway, and Trial Mountain Circuit. Like the mainline Gran Turismo games, the focus will be on mastering real-life driving skills.
Once My First Gran Turismo has been completed, players will have the option to transfer all 18 collected cars to Gran Turismo 7, if they want to upgrade to that game. It's worth pointing out that Gran Turismo 7 is currently on sale for $30 at Best Buy, so an upgrade to the full-fledged driving simulator is reasonably affordable.
Gran Turismo 7 launched back in March 2022, and like previous entries, it was praised for its impressive graphics, satisfying gameplay, and exhaustive customization options.
