While it sounds like id Software isn't currently planning what's next after Doom: The Dark Ages, the studio isn't ruling out more games in the universe, and it's just concentrating on getting its current project out the door first.
Doom: The Dark Ages launches on May 15 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. PC players will need a ray-tracing-compatible GPU in order to run the game, and the developers have already confirmed that the game won't have multiplayer. Id Software also said that Doom: The Dark Ages was inspired by the original Doom and Doom 2.
The Doom: The Dark Ages collector's edition is now up for preorder and one of the bonuses is early access, allowing you to play the game two days early, starting on May 13. It'll also be a day-one Game Pass title.
