Now Playing: Dragon Age: The Veilguard Is a Great Start For Newcomers | Summer Game Fest 2024

This is a stark contrast to EA's previous games, which required players to have the EA app to play on PC. However, the game will still need players to agree to a third-party EULA, as noted by the Steam page. This year, there was particular blowback with other publishers requiring third-party accounts to play Steam games, most notably with Helldivers 2.

BioWare also said that it will be providing more details about the game's launch later this summer. It's due out sometime this fall for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. So far, there's been quite a bit info out there about the game, including it having a no-death option, being mission-based rather than open-world, and apparently a lot of nudity.
