Dune: Prophecy released on Blu-ray in May, but you can get it for as low as $10 when pairing it with another Dune Blu-ray or book

Dune: Prophecy, David Lynch's Dune, And Frank Herbert Books Are B1G1 50% Off

After a longer-than-expected wait, Dune: Prophecy arrived on 4K and 1080p Blu-ray in May. Dune fans who haven't picked up the 4K release, which includes an exclusive featurette, can grab it for only $26 (was $40) at Amazon. The standard Blu-ray edition is on sale for $20 (was $30). But you can actually pay even less this week during Amazon's Buy 1, Get 1 50% off Blu-ray and book sale. Both the 4K and 1080p editions of Dune: Prophecy are included in the promotion. Of course, unless you want two copies, you'll need to find another Blu-ray (or book) to pair it with. Thankfully, there are plenty of great options in our Amazon BOGO sale roundups for books and movies/TV shows, including the Special Edition of David Lynch's Dune adaptation on 4K Blu-ray.

But you clicked on this because you like Dune, so we created a hub on Amazon filled with Dune Blu-rays and books that are B1G1 50% off. If you want to read about some of the other eligible Dune products, we've included some of the highlights below the Dune: Prophecy Blu-rays. There are a lot of Dune books in that hub, so if you're simply interested in reading the series for the first time, this smaller hub has all six of Frank Herbert's original novels. If you add them all to your cart, you can get the full original series for only $34.45.

Set 10,000 years before the events of the first novel in the series by Frank Herbert (and the movie adaptation), Dune: Prophecy explores the conflict between two Harkonnen sisters. Along with setting the stage and filling in backstory for major houses, Prophecy also covers the founding of the Bene Gesserit.

The 4K Blu-ray edition supports HDR and Dolby Atmos. Bonus features include featurettes, interviews, and other behind-the-scenes content that accompanied the show when it aired on HBO, but the 4K edition also comes with an exclusive featurette you won't find on the other physical editions or when streaming on HBO.

As mentioned, Dune: Prophecy's 1080p Blu-ray release is also eligible for B1G1 50% off. You'll get all of the content found on the 4K edition except for that extra featurette.

David Lynch's Dune (1984)

Another notable Dune 4K Blu-ray featured in the sale is Arrow Video's Special Edition of the late David Lynch's 1984 adaptation. Lynch's film had a rather turbulent production and was panned by critics, but there's a contingent of fans who love it. Plus, Arrow Video's 4K remaster is fantastic from a technical perspective, and it's on sale for $28 ($50). There's even a fascinating book-length oral history of the production called A Masterpiece in Disarray. Though it's not included in the promotion, you can get a gorgeous limited-edition hardcover with blue gilded pages for only $20.60 at Amazon.

As for Denis Villeneuve's pair of recent Dune films, only Part Two on standard Blu-ray is eligible for the promotion. That said, the best way to get physical editions of those at the moment is to pick up the Dune 2-Film Collection on 4K Blu-ray for only $33 (was $60). Dune: Part One and Dune: Part Two are available individually on 4K for $15 and $20, respectively. There are, however, a number of notable editions of Dune books included in the B1G1 50% off sale.
