Details are limited at the moment, but similar to the video game, the board game adaptation will also let players choose a survivor from a cast of familiar characters, each with their own unique abilities. These heroes must face off against relentless waves of the undead and other monstrous creatures, with each round growing more intense as the swarm grows larger and more dangerous.

As players fight to survive, they get experience points as well as the chance to upgrade their weapons and abilities to become stronger. Signature weapons can even evolve into more powerful forms, giving players a better chance at holding off the darkness. There's no confirmation on the player count allowed, but it should be noted that Vampire Survivors eventually added a co-op mode.

There is a free deck box that future pledgers can sign up for and receive when the game is fully made. You just sign up for email updates and join their partnership program for $1. The lone buck is credited to you in the pledge manager after the Kickstarter campaign and is applied toward the cost of shipping your rewards, with you still getting the deck box in addition to whichever pledge you decide to back.
