Stealth missions were one of the more divisive parts of Star Wars Outlaws, as a combination of temperamental enemy AI and poor checkpoints made it frustrating for some. Rechner added that these changes will also apply to the formerly stealth-only syndicate sections of the game and that players will be able to pick up and keep weapons they find in the field for longer.
To keep the action exciting, players will also be able to target specific enemy body parts and exploit vulnerabilities when they enter combat. "The addition of positioning and timing tactics will also make combat scenarios more dynamic. Our goal is to let you play the way you want to play," Rechner explained. For more details, you can check the full patch notes here.
After a slow start, Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment have continued to work on Star Wars Outlaws. Several stealth missions have also been redesigned to be less frustrating and several "key areas" of Outlaws have become a major point of focus for Massive Entertainment since the September launch of the game. If you're interested in checking the game out for yourself, Star Wars Outlaws is on sale for $50 during Black Friday.
