Happy birthday!

This Death Stranding 2 Birthday Easter Egg Is Both Bizarre and Adorable

This is a fun treat for players because you can say that Norman Reedus, Lea Seydoux, and several other famous Hollywood faces personally wished you a happy birthday. Sure, they're playing characters inside of a video game, but it still technically counts. It shouldn't be too surprising to see an Easter egg like this in Death Stranding 2, and with the game out this week, players will likely be unearthing a few more secrets in the weeks to come.

Death Stranding had its fair share of them, with some of the highlights being references to game director Hideo Kojima's work on the Metal Gear Solid series, nods to classic literature, and plenty of cameos. If you're looking to catch up on the events of the first game before hopping into the sequel, you can check out our digestible read on the timeline of Death Stranding. Death Stranding 2 is available to play in early access for people who bought the deluxe and collector's editions, and the standard version of it will go live starting June 26.
