If everything's an Xbox, is everything a PlayStation as well?

PlayStation PC Games Are Now On Xbox, Sort Of

This shouldn't be too surprising, since Microsoft already confirmed that the upcoming ROG Xbox Ally handheld devices will be able to play Sony's PlayStation titles that have been released on PC. But there won't be any Xbox achievements or any additional functionality for these PS ports.

In a separate report, Warren suggests that what Microsoft "really wants to do is turn Xbox into Steam." Microsoft has attempted to dethrone Valve's Steam in the past without much success, but the company doesn't currently appear to be trying to replace Steam as much it's co-opting it.

There are still a lot of questions about the future of the Xbox brand, but Xbox president Sarah Bond recently shared some details about the next generation Xbox console, which doesn't currently have a name. Part of Bond's pitch to players was that their games won't be locked to a single console or storefront.

A recent report suggested that Microsoft canceled its plans for a dedicated Xbox handheld device in favor of supporting the ROG Xbox Ally and other third-party devices. Xbox and Meta recently teamed up for a Meta Quest 3S Xbox Edition, which will only be available for a limited time.
