If you think the Piranha Plant Camera for Nintendo Switch 2 looks cool, you can pair it with a brick-built Lego display model for 20% off

Piranha Plant Super Mario Lego Set Is On Sale At Amazon

If the looming release of the Nintendo Switch 2 has you interested in all things Super Mario, check out Lego's adorable Piranha Plant building set. The 540-piece kit is the most affordable Lego Nintendo display model for adults at its full $60 MSRP, but multiple retailers have chomped 20% from the cost, lowering the price to only $48. You can get this deal at Amazon, Walmart, and Target.

The Piranha Plant Lego set released back in September 2023, so it might be on the verge of retirement. This has remained a consistent bestseller among Super Mario Lego sets at major retailers since its debut. It's also a great pick if you think Hori's $60 Piranha Plant Camera for Nintendo Switch 2 looks cool more so as a display piece rather than a piece of tech you'll use regularly. Or you could flank your TV with two Piranha Plants.

Based on one of Mario's best-known enemies, the 540-piece Piranha Plant Lego building set has multiple posable elements, including an opening/closing mouth, a bendable vine, and two leaves that can be angled in different directions. The set also comes with two (fake) coins that can be hidden inside the Piranha Plant's mouth.

Just like in the video games, the Piranha Plant Lego set has a buildable green warp pipe as its base. This is essentially an artificial potted plant for Nintendo fans.

The completed build is 9 x 4.5 x 6.5 inches. It's worth mentioning that the Piranha Plant is one of two Lego Mario display models that does not interact with the Mario, Luigi, and Peach figures from the Lego Super Mario starter sets. It was recently joined by the Mario Kart display model in this regard.

The Piranha Plant is one of seven Nintendo-themed Lego display models geared toward adults. The 1,972-piece Mario Kart display model, which features a buildable 3D Super Mario figure and his iconic red kart, released exclusively at the Lego Store on May 15 for $170.

Here's a list of all of the Lego Nintendo display sets you can buy now, including the retro-inspired Super Mario World: Mario & Yoshi set and the first Legend of Zelda Lego set. Two of the Lego Mario display models, the NES and Question Block, are no longer in print and cost more than MSRP. Amazon has the Lego NES in stock, but the retailer has raised the price by $60.
