EA Announces College Basketball Game 16 Years After The Last One

We can pretty safely assume that EA will not use the NCAA branding for its new college basketball game given the company also parted ways with the NCAA for its football series, but nothing is confirmed yet. EA and the NCAA stopped working together years ago due to a variety of legal and financial reasons.

As mentioned, the last EA-developed college basketball game was 2009's NCAA Basketball 10, which featured Oklahoma's Blake Griffin on the cover.

EA's NCAA college football series, meanwhile, came to an end in 2013 before EA revived the franchise in 2024 as EA Sports College Football 25. There was enormous pent-up demand for the game, and it ended up as 2024's No. 2 best-selling game overall in the US, only trailing the newest entry in Activision's annual juggernaut Call of Duty series.

The new EA-made college basketball game has no confirmed release date or platforms yet, but you can keep checking back with GameSpot for the latest.
