Let me do that one again

Oblivion Remastered Makes The Original's Most Infamous Dialogue Blooper Even Better

However, one of the original game's most infamous voice lines, spoken by the Speechcraft trainer Tandilwe, is wonderfully intact. Tandilwe tells players:

"I heard that thieves broke into the Arcane University, the Imperial Legion compound, and the temple, all on the same night." Then, she continues. "Wait a minute, let me do that one again."

She then repeats the same line but with a slightly different emphasis on certain words. Tandilwe's voice actor clearly wanted another attempt at the line, which makes perfect sense. But for reasons unknown, both takes were inexplicably left in the original Oblivion, to hilarious effect. Now it's (thankfully) back in Oblivion Remastered in all its glory, even if Tandilwe herself looks quite different.

What makes the entire situation even better is that in Oblivion Remastered, not only is the full blooper preserved, but it's actually made better thanks to the game's lip-syncing tech. While in the original Tandilwe's mouth stops moving after her initial line read, in Oblivion Remastered, the game continues to lip sync the entire line.

Bethesda Game Studios looks to have kept the spirit of the original Oblivion alive in other ways too, like the game's deluxe edition upgrade containing exclusive horse armor despite backlash to the original's horse armor DLC. One of Oblivion's original developers has said calling Oblivion Remastered a simple remaster doesn't do it justice. Meanwhile, Todd Howard confirmed it's still working on The Elder Scrolls VI amid Oblivion Remastered's release.
