Little Mega Man Volume 2 sees the Blue Bomber meet his Mega Man X counterpart

The Next Little Mega Man Manga Volume Launches August 19

We don't know when--or if--a new Mega Man game will ever be released, but we do know that the adventures of this Capcom icon do make for some great reading. In case you missed it, the first volume of Little Mega Man was released a few months ago, and the second volume is scheduled to arrive on August 19. These are cute and surprisingly hilarious manga strips that star Mega Man during his early days, and they feature some fantastic art.

Little Mega Man Volume One is 196 pages in size, is illustrated by Yukito, and written by Yuushi Kawata. The duo had previously collaborated Mr. Mega Man--a gag manga that reimagines as an adult trying to lead a peaceful life as a dentist--and Little Mega Man is another fun spin on the character.

Little Mega Man Volume Two amplifies the absurdity of the manga, as the Blue Bomber takes on strange new foes--like Demon Man, Sushi Man, and Plasma TV Man--meets his European counterpart, and even runs into his future self, Mega Man X.

These official English localizations have been produced by publisher Udon Entertainment in collaboration with Capcom, a company you might recognize for its other licensed works in the Street Fighter franchise.

As mentioned above, you can also grab Mr. Mega Man to read all about the horrors of adulthood. Meanwhile, Mega Man's old sparring partners have also entered the workforce, resulting in Robot Masters now earning a decent living. Cut Man is a barber, Flame Man is a chef, and Top Man is an online influencer, but something sinister is lurking in the shadows.

For more traditional Mega Man adventures, there are several comic book trade paperbacks you can check out as well. Mega Man Mastermix: Robot Rebellion is essentially a Year One story that follows Mega Man on his early missions, Mega Man Mastermix: Asteroid Blues is an outer space adventure, and Mega Man: Gigamix is a globetrotting adventure as the blue hero takes on several of Dr. Wily's nefarious bots. Mega Man fans can also grab a delightful tribute to the character with Mega Man Tribute. This is a compilation of artwork from illustrators all over the world, paying tribute to the legacy of the character and his various games.
