Scott Pilgrim EX Is A Return To A Retro Co-Op Beat-'Em'-Up For Scott And His Pals
Many Tribute Games devs worked on the original Scott Pilgrim game in 2010
The game is being developed and published by Tribute Games, in what the studio describes as a "creative partnership" with Scott Pilgrim creator Brian Lee O'Malley. Scott Pilgrim EX will feature new pixel art from famed artist Paul Robertson, as well as new music from Anamanaguchi, who provided the soundtrack to the previous game. BenDavid Grabinski, director of the recent Scott Pilgrim Takes Off movie on Netflix, is also part of this new project as a creative advisor.
The Scott Pilgrim IP's previous video game adventure, Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World, launched in 2010 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. An updated version, called the Complete Edition, was released on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC in 2021.
Scott Pilgrim is slated to launch in 2026 for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
