Twisted Metal Boss Says Season 2 Is "More Cinematic" Than Its First Outing

MJ Smith discusses the upcoming second season of the video game series
Smith said viewers can expect a "more cinematic" Season 2, thanks in part to beefed-up action and stunts. To help with this, the show brought on Logan Holladay, who was Ryan Gosling's stunt double on Fall Guy and set the world record for most cannon rolls in a car.
"We want to do what we did [in Season 1], better," Smith said. "We all wanted to adapt the feeling of playing the game. The exciting last-minute turns and the explosions. And that's the energy we want to bring into the show, where it's like ... I want this to be a fun show to watch. That's ultimately what this is about."
Twisted Metal Season 2 premieres July 31 on Peacock.
Sony Pictures Television paid for GameSpot's flight and accommodation to Toronto to see the Twisted Metal Season 2 set and speak with the cast and crew.
