Now Playing: Marvel Rivals | The Spring Festival Trailer

The superhero soccer game glimpsed in the trailer is called Clash of Dancing Lions, and it drops players into a 3v3 contest on a map as they use every trick in their arsenal to get the ball into the opposite scoring zone. It's not exactly like "the beautiful game" celebrated in the World Cup, but the basic principles are the same. Each game will be played until one of the teams reaches a predetermined score.

Marvel Rivals Spring Festival will begin on January 23, but, NetEase notes that the other new costumes "will make their way to the game in the coming weeks." Meanwhile, on January 30, Marvel Rivals will introduce Peter Parker's Advanced Suit 2.0 from Marvel's Spider-Man 2. Unlike Spidey's comic-book counterpart, this costume utilizes tech that was created and developed by both Doctor Octopus and Peter Parker.

NetEase has grand plans to add two new playable characters to Marvel Rivals every season. The first season recently introduced Mr. Fantastic and the Invisible Woman, and made some significant balance changes as well. Strangely enough, Invisible Woman may be able to expose bots in the game.
