Razer Unveils Pokemon Gaming Gear - Gotta Buy 'Em All Before They're Gone

New limited-edition Pokemon-themed versions of Razer's gaming headsets, mice, mechanical keyboards, and more are now available
Razer has announced a new lineup of official Pokemon-themed versions of several of its gaming accessories, including the Razer BlackWidow V4 X mechanical keyboard, Kraken V4 X headset, and Cobra gaming mouse, as well as a new Pokemon edition of the Razer Gigantus V2 mouse pad. The entire collection is available now at Amazon, Best Buy, and Razer.
While the new Pokemon x Razer products don't add any new features beyond fun new yellow color schemes and skins featuring fan-favorite Gen 1 Pokemon Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Squirtle, and Charmander. Nevertheless, these limited-edition Razer devices are sure to be popular releases, so it's worth grabbing them while they're available.

This special edition of the full-size BlackWidow V4 X Wired Mechanical Keyboard features black doubleshot ABS keycaps and a unique board chassis skin with the faces of Gen 1 starters and mascots Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Squirtle, and Charmander. The space bar also sports the Pokemon logo, and the alt keys feature Pokeball decals. This model uses Razer's clicky mechanical key switches.
The rest of the keyboard's features are identical to those of the base version of the standard BlackWidow V4 X, including RGB backlighting with Razer Chroma support, six programmable macro keys that can be customized via the Razer Synapse desktop app, dedicated media keys, and a multi-function roller. It connects to your PC via USB.

The headband also features the official Pokemon logo and the same Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Squirtle, and Charmander face collage as the other accessories.
As for the wired headset's features a retractable cardioid mic with Razer Hyperclear technology, 40MM Razer Triforce Drivers, 7.1 virtual surround sound support, Chroma RGB lighting, passive noise isolation, and USB Type-C and Type-A connectivity (includes an adapter). This means you can use the headset with PC, Switch, and Switch 2, as well as PlayStation and mobile.

Like the standard edition of the device, the Razer Cobra Wired Gaming Mouse - Pokemon Edition is a lightweight mouse that weighs just 58g, features Razer's Gen-3 Optical Mouse Switches for the clicks, and an optical sensor with up to 8,500 DPI sensitivity. The mouse also sports Razer Chroma RGB lighting along the underside of the body and supports Razer's Synapse desktop software, which lets you customize the two programmable side buttons.

This is the same as the medium model of the standard Gigantus V2 Mouse Mat, which is made from soft, textured microweave polyester cloth and features anti-slip rubberized foam on the underside. The face of the mousepad features a big, smiling Pikachu and the Gen 1 Pokemon collage that matches the rest of the new Razer X Pokemon accessory collection.

While we don't know what will be shown at the showcase, it's the first Pokemon Direct since the Switch 2 launched, so it's possible there could be exciting announcements related to Nintendo's new console. At the very least, we wouldn't be surprised to see more information on the upcoming Pokemon Legends: Z-A, which launches for Switch and Switch 2 on October 16.
