EA Sports Games Will Add Nike's NFT Sneakers In The Future

"All of us at EA Sports are focused on leading the next evolution in sports fandom, and this new collaboration with our longtime partners at Nike sits directly at the intersection of innovation, sport, and culture," said EA Sports senior VP Andrea Hopelain.
This isn't the first time that video games have experimented with digital goods, as in one infamous example, Ubisoft offered helmets with tiny numbers on them to Ghost Recon: Breakpoint players through its Ubisoft Quartz NFT initiative. The NFT market has also shrunk dramatically since its boom in early 2021, as so far, their proposed value has yet to materialize within games.
