The vouchers still can be used on the Switch 2, but they can only be used to purchase Switch 1 titles. In the case of games that have a paid Switch 2 enhanced edition, vouchers will presumably only purchase the Switch 1 edition of the game, which can then be upgraded with an additional fee. With most of the Switch 2 enhanced upgrades going for $10, you could still save yourself some money using game vouchers to purchase upgraded titles like Tears of the Kingdom and Breath of the Wild.
The list of voucher-eligible games also includes a number of games getting free upgrades on the Switch 2, including Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, and Super Mario Bros. Wonder, among others.
The caveat on the game-voucher page suggests Nintendo isn't planning on extending the voucher program to the Switch 2, even as it continues to add more Switch 1 titles to the list. We'll have to wait and see if the Switch 2 gets its own game vouchers sometime later in the console's lifespan.
