Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart is offered as a Steam key through Green Man Gaming--so you don’t have to worry about adding another app to your desktop. In order to get the deal, however, you’ll need to create a GMG XP account. This is entirely free, and largely just requires an email account. After signing up for free, you’ll see the discounted price. You’ll also earn XP with your purchase, which will grant you additional offers and possibly even free games as you move up the ranks.
Preorders on PC come with the Carbonox Armor and Pixelizer Weapon, making it even more enticing to reserve your copy ahead of Rift Apart's PC launch launch later this summer.
If you still haven’t played Rift Apart on PS5, the game is currently down to just $30 as part of PlayStation's Days of Play sale event. This matches Rift Apart's best price ever. Every PS5 owner should have the action-platformer in their library, as it's arguably the most impressive showcase of the PS5's powerful tech.
Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart earned incredible reviews when it launched in 2021. It earned a 9/10 in our Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart review thanks to its gorgeous graphics, engaging combat and platforming, heartwarming story, and truly great implementation of the DualSense controller's unique features. It's worth noting the PC version will support the DualSense's haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, so you should pick up a DualSense if you plan on playing the game for the first time on PC.
“Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is flashy and technically impressive without feeling self-important,” wrote critic Steve Watts. It's just as silly, sweet, and earnest as the Ratchet & Clank series tends to be, while the new generation of hardware makes this entry look and play better than ever. At its core, it's still your trusty old pals on another grand space adventure. That's what's important.”
