The highlight this month is Persona 4 Golden, a 2023 re-release of the classic PS2 game from 2008. This edition includes a ton of new content and gameplay additions to help modernize the experience, and while some elements are a bit dated, it's still a terrific entry in the series that features memorable characters, new locations to explore, and a heck of a mystery at its core.

The other noteworthy game here is Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, a four-player co-op action game that has received major updates since it was first released. It had a troubled launch back in 2022, but developer Fatshark has remained committed to improving the game and the results really do show. Just recently, the studio introduced sweeping changes class and weapon progression, and the game is in a much better state now thanks to various other improvements.

You might have overlooked The Lamplighters League when it came out last year, but this is a good time to check it out as we head into a quieter part of the year. It's a mix of pulp action novels, occult mystery, and fantastical technology, all wrapped up in a rock-solid stealth-action package. For Pokemon fans, you won't want to sleep on Cassette Beasts as this homage to Game Freal's series takes the foundation of pocket monster fun and adds a surprising amount of strategy to the mix. Other cool games you can check out this month include Garden Life, Karmazoo, Hexarchy, and The Bookwalker: Thief of Tales.
