The specific wording is that "the publisher has not presented us with a draft of the subsequent content ride to the publishing agreement covering the terms and conditions of further milestones on Project Gemini and the lack of communication from the publisher as to its willingness to continue or terminate the Gemini project."

Project Bitfrost, meanwhile, is being suspended for the same reason mentioned above, and its publisher is similarly unknown. In addition, People Can Fly said it's suspending this game due to an "analysis of the group's cash flow, which showed a lack of prospects for securing organizational resources and a funds necessary to continue the production and release of this project."

Due to these suspensions, People Can Fly said it will need to "significantly regroup as a studio and scale down our teams, which hurts the most."

"We wish to express our deepest regret and sadness over how these events have unfolded and our sincere gratitude for everyone's contribution up to this point," CEO Sebastian Wojciechowski said.

This follows on from People Can Fly's announcement in December 2024 that it decided to reduce the development team for Project Bitfrost, adding that the game was no longer planned for an early-access launch in 2026. Development continued with a smaller team until now.

Also at the time, People Can Fly said it suspended the development of another game, Project Victoria. Despite all these cancellations, People Can Fly continues to work on Project Echo, a new game with Krafton, as well as Project Delta with Sony, and Gears of War: E-Day with Microsoft.
