Yojimbo tells the story of Sanjuro, a masterless samurai attempting to rid a village of corruption. He does this by convincing two rival parties to recruit him as a bodyguard--only to later trigger a gang war between them in an attempt to destroy their stranglehold on the town. Yojimbo is followed by the companion movie, Sanjuro, which sees the samurai helping a young group of warriors remove evil influences from within their clan. Both earned high praise from viewers and critics--and now that they’re available in 4K, this collection is the best way to enjoy them in 2025.
