Scalebound was canceled back in 2017

Scalebound Director Calls On Xbox Boss To Bring Back Scalebound

Scalebound was initially planned to launch for Xbox One and PC, but was canceled in January 2017. Over the years since its cancellation, Kamiya has shared his desire to revive the game in some way. There were reportedly talks between its developer Platinum Games and Microsoft back about doing so, although Spencer confirmed that they've moved on from the project.

Clovers is currently working on an Okami sequel in a partnership with Capcom, which owns the IP rights. Since Microsoft owns the rights to Scalebound, it's possible that a revival could happen. Although it's unclear whether Microsoft would go back to Platinum Games, which Kamiya already left, or work with Kamiya at Clovers as he was the game's original director.
