Star Wars Outlaws: Gold Edition Is Just $60 On Switch 2

Star Wars Outlaws: Gold Edition launches for Switch 2 on September 4
Following its launch last year on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, Ubisoft's open-world action game Star Wars Outlaws will launch for Switch 2 on September 4. The Switch 2 version is the Gold Edition, which comes bundled with two expansions and several DLC cosmetic packs, all for just $60--which is much more affordable compared to the $110 the Golden Edition launched for on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox back in 2024. It's also several dollars less than other Switch 2 games that are launching for $70 or $80. If you're looking to pick up the game on Switch 2, preorders for Star Wars Outlaws: Gold Edition are available now at Amazon and Walmart.
Star Wars Outlaws: Gold Edition includes the full base game plus the Wild Card and A Pirate's Fortune story expansions, plus several additional pieces of content like the Jabba's Gambit DLC mission, Hunter's Legacy bundle, and Cartel Ronin cosmetic packs.
It's worth noting that this is a Game-Key Card version of Star Wars Outlaws, so you'll need to download the game to your Switch 2 after you insert the cart into the system. These cartridges aren't locked to your Switch 2 console or Nintendo account, so if you want to resell the game in the future, you can do so.
Preorder on Amazon Preorder on WalmartAn open-world adventure featuring original characters, Star Wars Outlaws is a fun romp across the Outer Rim. As the protagonist Kay Vess, the game lets you live the scoundrel lifestyle as you explore various planets and get caught in the middle of the Galactic Civil War between the Empire and the Rebel Alliance, playing both sides so that you can secure a lucrative payday. When you're not traversing planets like Tatooine, you can even do a bit of space exploration around these locations in Vess' spaceship, the Trailblazer. While Star Wars Outlaws had several issues at launch, developer Massive Entertainment did a substantial amount of post-launch work to improve the game, addressing numerous issues, and responding to fan feedback. This included reworking the game's slow opening hours, fine-tuning stealth, and making the game generally more forgiving for trigger-happy players.
Star Wars Outlaws is just one of several third-party games coming to the Switch 2 in 2025--alongside several first-party games like Mario Kart World and Donkey Kong Bananza,--so if you're looking to build a library for the system, there are quite a few games to choose from. Other big open-world games include Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition, Yakuza 0: Director's Cut, and Hitman: World of Assassination. If you'd prefer something smaller and quirkier, you can also grab titles like Split Fiction and Puyo Puyo Tetris 2S. Check the list below for all the Switch 2 games available to preorder ahead of the system's launch on June 5.
