Snubbed At The Game Awards, Stray Gods Gets Grammy Nomination
Stray Gods, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, and Hogwarts Legacy are some of the games nominated for a best video game soundtrack award at next year's Grammys
Curiously, Stray Gods wasn't nominated for an award in the category that it excels at for The Game Awards. Final Fantasy 16, Alan Wake 2, Baldur's Gate 3, Hi-Fi Rush, and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom were all nominated, and while each of those game soundtracks are deserving of a win, the omission of Stray Gods has been seen as odd.
"The folks over at Summerfall Studios managed to pull it off, creating a game that explores the extraordinary healing power that music can have in our lives and wrapping it all up in a compelling murder mystery where the consequences of your choices can have drastic effects on a weakening Greek pantheon just trying to survive in the modern day," Jordan Ramée wrote in GameSpot's Stray Gods review. "This is a fantastic visual novel and I cannot wait to play through it again."
The 2024 Grammy Awards ceremony will take place on February 5.
