One of the Enshrouded's standout features is its day-and-night cycle, which last about 30 minutes and 12 minutes in real-time, respectively. At nighttime, players can catch fireflies as well as encounter rarer enemies like zombies that appear more frequently. The new update will give players new reasons to head out during night time, although specifics weren't revealed.
Enshrouded is an open-world survival game similar to that of Valheim. It's currently in Steam Early Access and its 1.0 release is scheduled for Spring 2026. Back in January, Keen Games revealed a roadmap for 2025 that details upcoming new features like player emotes, voice chat, and island raids.
