Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Gets $30 Price Cut For Black Friday
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is one of numerous Nintendo Switch games on sale for a new low price during Black Friday
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is one of the Switch's must-play games, and now it's available for its lowest price yet at major retailers. Best Buy and Target have Tears of the Kingdom's physical edition for only $40, saving you $30. Tears of the Kingdom is part of Nintendo's official Black Friday lineup, but the expectation was that it would cost $50. Like many Nintendo games, Tears of the Kingdom is rarely marked down, so we wouldn't be surprised if retailers sold out before Black Friday sales end. Especially because it will be a popular choice for holiday shoppers who pick up a Switch console bundle for the ridiculously low price of $225.
The extra $10 off is a nice surprise, though you could possibly save even more. Walmart will have Tears of the Kingdom for $30 tomorrow, November 25, at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET. The deal coincides with the launch of Walmart's Black Friday week deals. The catch here is that the offer is exclusive to paid Walmart+ subscribers until 2 PM PT / 5 PM ET. There's a very good chance it sells out before the deal opens up to everyone, but if you have a subscription already, make sure to check Walmart's listing when the sale begins to snag a copy.
It's worth noting Walmart+ is only $49/year right now thanks to a 50%-off promotion. Along with early access to sales events, subscribers get free two-day shipping on orders placed online, same-day delivery from your local store, a Paramount+ subscription, and other nice perks.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is not just one of the best Switch games, it's one of the greatest all-time games. The follow-up to the similarly incredible Breath of the Wild expanded the open world to stretch above and below Hyrule and introduced brilliant new building and physics systems. With Link's Ultrahand ability, you can manipulate objects and cobble together vehicles, bridges, and other contraptions. Breath of the Wild already offered an impressive degree of freedom, but Tears of the Kingdom takes it a step further. There's no one "right" way to solve the game's many clever puzzles, and that's what makes this sprawling adventure so thoroughly engaging for many dozens, if not hundreds, of hours.
See at Best Buy See at Target See at WalmartYou could use your savings on the price of the game to pick up the official Tears of the Kingdom Collector's Edition Guide, a 496-page hardcover that offers a comprehensive breakdown of everything you need to know to do and see 100% of what Hyrule has to offer. In addition to detailing every main and side objective, the guide contains a complete enemy database, item catalog, and atlas that can be quickly referenced while playing.
Even if you don't need help, it's a cool collectible for Zelda fans thanks to its gold foil-stamped cover and plethora of full-color illustrations throughout.
This is one of several Zelda books eligible for Amazon's Buy Two, Get One Free Black Friday Book Sale. You could also buy Breath of the Wild's Expanded Guide and then get The Legend of Zelda Encyclopedia for free.

Amazon has a terrific deal on a Zelda-themed wireless controller for Black Friday. Normally $45, this officially licensed controller is on sale for just $25. It has two programmable back buttons and can run for 30 hours on a pair of AA batteries.
It's worth noting that it does not have some of the features found in Nintendo's first-party controllers: HD rumble, motion controls, or NFC support for Amiibo figures.
If you want those features, Nintendo's Pro Controller is available for an all-time low price of $50 at multiple major retailers, including Best Buy and Target. Sadly, Amazon sold out of the Black Friday Pro Controller deal fast.
