The long-rumored July Nintendo Direct is coming right at the buzzer

Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase Confirmed For July 31

The Nintendo Switch 2 Direct in April included multiple third-party titles that will be coming to Switch 2 in the future, including Final Fantasy VII: Remake Intergrade from Square Enix and The Duskbloods from From Software.

How to watch July Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase

The Nintendo Switch 2 Direct will stream on Nintendo's official YouTube (embedded above) and Twitch channels. An on-demand version of the stream will be available afterward for those who missed the initial premiere, as will each individual trailer shown during the event.

Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase start time and runtime

The July Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase is scheduled to begin July 31 at 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET. It will run "roughly 25 minutes" according to the post announcing the event on Nintendo's social media channels.

  • 6 AM PT
  • 9 AM ET
  • 2 PM BST
  • 11 PM AET

What to expect

As this is a Partner Showcase explicitly featuring news on games from Nintendo's "publishing partners," don't expect any news on games like Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, Kirby Air Riders, or any unannounced first-party Nintendo titles. Those are apparently being saved for another day.

That being said, there are still plenty of upcoming games from those publishing partners that are worth keeping an eye on. The previously mentioned Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade and The Duskbloods--the latter of which is a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive--may have a presence in this presentation, with Hades 2, Professor Layton and The New World of Steam, and Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds.

Also, there may be a selection games that have been announced for Switch 2 since the April Nintendo Direct--including Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles and Mortal Kombat: Legacy Collection--that could make their Nintendo Direct debuts in this Partner Direct.
