The collector's edition of one of the most charming and joyful games of 2024 is on sale for the first time at Amazon. Officially called The Plucky Squire: Devolver Deluxe Edition, this physical edition for PS5 and Nintendo Switch is packaged in an oversized box that contains the game, an art book, and the original soundtrack. The Devolver Deluxe Edition of the whimsical storybook action-adventure released on February 21 for $55. If you're interested in picking it up, you can get the PS5 version for $46.54 or the Switch edition for $50.
The Plucky Squire originally released on digital storefronts last September for $30. There's also a standard physical edition without the extras for $33 (was $35).

The Plucky Squire Devolver Deluxe Edition includes a physical copy of the game for PS5 or Nintendo Switch inside the standard edition box. You'll find the standard edition inside an oversized box with unique artwork alongside a 108-page paperback art book and a voucher to download the original soundtrack.
The Plucky Squire is one of those games that almost makes too much sense for the art book treatment. After all, the game shares its title with the book inside the game.
If you're unfamiliar with the game, The Plucky Squire is an adventure game that mixes multiple genres, including top-down action-adventure, side-scrolling platforming, and more.
You play as Jot, a character in the The Plucky Squire book where the game takes place. Unfortunately, Jot is forced out of his home by Humgrump. This sets up The Plucky Squire's unique visual and gameplay style. The Plucky Squire melds hand-drawn 2D and colorful 3D graphics as Jot ventures forth on his adventure outside and inside of the book. It's an ambitious debut game from indie studio All Possible Futures. The studio was co-founded by ex-Pokemon art director James Turner, and Jonathan Biddle, who served as creative director on another hand-drawn Zelda-like indie, The Swords of Ditto.
It earned a 9/10 in GameSpot's The Plucky Squire review.
