There is reverence for the original voice cast, and they have mostly reprised their roles in the several follow-ups and spin-offs since Persona 3's release such as Persona Q, Persona 3: Dancing In Moonlight, and Persona 4 Arena and Ultimax. But with a reimagining, and especially with Vic Mignogna's sexual misconduct allegations and legal issues, it's best that Persona 3 Reload is going with a new slate of VAs.
Persona 3 Reload is set to launch in early 2024 for Xbox systems, PlayStation platforms, Nintendo Switch, and PC. We're also getting Persona 5 Tactica on November 17 this year, a strategy-RPG spin-off starring the Phantom Thieves and some new characters. Atlus also revealed Metaphor: ReFantazio, which is from Studio Zero (a group of ex-Persona developers)--it was formerly known as Project Re:Fantasy and is a new IP with familiar stylings.
