Bandai Launching Two War Of The Rohirrim Figuarts Action Figures, Preorder Available Now
The Tamashii Nations Hera and Wulf Figuarts collectibles both launch on September 30
Bandai is launching two new figures based on the first official The Lord of the Rings anime, The War of the Rohirrim, later this year. The Tamashii Nations Hera and Wulf figures will be available for $80 each starting September 30. Like other collectibles from Bandai's Tamashii Nations lineup, the Hera and Wulf action figures feature screen-accurate designs, tons of articulation, and several accessories. Preorders for both figures are available at Amazon.
The Tamashii Nations Lord of the Rings: War of the Rohirrim - Hera S.H Figuarts Action Figure is based on the Princess' ornate battle attire seen in the movie. It features plenty of articulation to also pull off a variety of poses, comes with a set of swappable face-plates, interchangeable hands, and a set of swords.
Preorder at AmazonThe second figure is Hera's childhood friend-turned-nemesis, Wulf. The Dunlending warrior features similar posability as the Hera figure and sports a battle-worn design, along with several accessories, including interchangeable hands, faces, and two swords.
Preorder at AmazonProduced by anime studio Sola Digital Arts, War of the Rohirrim is set 183 years before the events of The Lord of the Rings when the kingdom of Rohan battled against the Dunlending raiders of Dunedain. The movie pulls from the writings and lore of Tolkein's Appendices, bringing the stories of King Helm Hammerhand, Princess Hera, and Wulf to the screen for the first time. The movie originally premiered in theaters in late 2024 and was recently released on Blu-ray. While the special 4K Steelbook Edition is currently sold out, you can grab the standard The War of the Rohirrim 4K Blu-ray for $20 at Amazon (was $28). The the standard Blu-ray version is also available for $13 (was $23). Both versions come with three bonus featurettes detailing the design and development of the movie.
