Monster Hunter Wilds Patch Coming Tuesday, But Don't Expect It To Improve Performance

The update will address progress-blocking bugs
Players online when the update arrives at 12 AM PT / 3AM ET on March 4 will be removed from their online session and required to download the update to continue playing online, according to the official Monster Hunter Status X account, which posts updates about known issues and upcoming fixes.
The March 4 update should fix the major progress-blocking problems, but it doesn't address one of the other main issues many players have had with Monster Hunter Wilds since launch: performance issues on PC. Despite breaking Steam records at launch and soaring into the top-5 Steam games of all time based on concurrent player counts, Monster Hunter Wilds currently sports a "mixed" average user review rating on the platform due to many players complaining about poor performance and optimization for Capcom's latest hit.
Aside from an FAQ on the Monster Hunter website suggesting common PC fixes like making sure drivers are up to date and that players meet the minimum required system requirements, Capcom has not said when players can expect performance improving updates to come to Monster Hunter Wilds.

In GameSpot's Monster Hunter Wilds review, we said the latest entry in Capcom's long-running franchise iterates on a winning formula with satisfying new mechanics, but suffers from performance issues and draws too much attention to its dull and predictable main story.
