One Of The Witcher 3's Endings Has Been Restored By A Fan Mod
These lost moments from The Witcher 3 feel like a setup for a new main character in The Witcher 4
The final expansion for The Witcher 3, Blood and Wine, seemingly wrapped up Geralt's storyline. CD Projekt has already announced that The Witcher 4 is in development, and if Geralt's story is over, then it would only make sense if Ciri becomes the new main character of the game. That's still only speculation for now, but CD Projekt recently confirmed that Geralt will have a much smaller role in the next game.
CD Projekt hasn't set a date for The Witcher 4, but the development team expanded in late 2023 as production ramped up. It's too soon to guess when The Witcher 4 will arrive, but presumably it will be released for the current generation of consoles. In the meantime, The Witcher Season 4--with Liam Hemsworth as Geralt--will arrive in 2025.
