Walmart has the region-free box set of the Sean Connery 007 Limited Edition Collection for the same price as Amazon's sold-out exclusive edition

James Bond 6-Film Steelbook Library 4K Blu-Ray Collection In Stock At Walmart (September 9)

James Bond fans who weren't able to get Amazon's exclusive Sean Connery Steelbook Library Collection earlier this year will want to check out Walmart--and soon. Walmart has the 007 6-Film Steelbook Library Collection in stock for $142.68, which is just a couple bucks more than Amazon charged for its $140 exclusive. The difference here is that Walmart is selling a region-free, imported edition with 4K Blu-ray and 1080p Blu-ray discs. Amazon had the exclusive on the US edition, which featured 4K Blu-ray and digital copies. The international edition regularly sells for $190-$200 via resellers on Amazon, so we'd expect Walmart to sell out pretty fast. Your order will be shipped and sold by Walmart.

Sean Connery's six (official) James Bond movies released on 4K Blu-ray for the first time in June. A standard edition collection is available for $100, and all six movies will receive standalone editions September 23. The only other Bond movies on 4K Blu-ray are the five films starring Daniel Craig, but hopefully the Sean Connery movies are just the beginning.

All six 4K Blu-ray discs support Dolby Vision HDR and have enhanced surround sound via Dolby Atmos and Dolby TrueHD 7.1.

Each film has its own steelbook case featuring screenshots of Connery pulled from the movies. The steelbooks and a certificate of authenticity are packaged inside a premium metal library case.

Audio commentaries and other behind-the-scenes content are included with the collection, too.

Here's a list of the six movies in the collection as well as links to preorder the standalone 4K Blu-ray editions of each. The Steelbook Library Collection is cheaper than buying each movie separately.

If you aren't able to secure the Limited Edition Steelbook Box Set or simply want to save around $40, the standard 6-Film Collection is available for $100 at Amazon and Walmart. This is the US edition, so it comes with 4K Blu-ray and digital editions of the six 007 movies.

Several other James Bond Blu-rays are cheap right now, making it a good time to fill any gaps in your catalog. The James Bond Collection pulls together 24 films for just $70 (was $120), making it an easy recommendation at this price. The only Bond film that's not included here is No Time to Die.

As mentioned, Daniel Craig's Bond films, up until now, were the only 007 movies with 4K Blu-ray editions. You can get all five of Craig's Bond movies on 4K for $58 at Amazon.
