How to use the Range Finder in Battlefield 6

To use the Range Finder, you'll first need to unlock it by reaching the necessary rank for the sniper rifle you're using. For instance, you'll need to be Rank 4 with the M2010 ESR to gain access to the Range Finger. Once you've unlocked the ability to use the Range Finder, equip it to your Right Accessory slot.

Once you're in a match, aim down the sights as you normally would, then hold down on the D-pad on console or press the B key on PC to bring up the Range Finder. Of course, it's important to remember that, if you've gone into the settings and changed up keybinds related to either of these buttons, you may need to make further adjustments to figure out the right combination for your customized controls.

When you use the Range Finder, it will automatically zero into the range you're aiming at. This takes a lot of the guesswork out of managing the game's bullet drop mechanic, which simulates the way gravity causes bullets to fall as they travel in real life. So, it makes sense that using the Range Finder allows you to more consistently hit targets regardless of your current range.

However, it's worth noting that using the Range Finder takes up 10 of your Attachment Points. As such, you may want to drop it if and when you feel confident that you can handle zeroing in manually, freeing up some space for more expensive attachments that can improve your gunplay in other ways.
