Donald Glover's Lando Calrissian TV Show Has Seemingly Become A Movie

Writer Stephen Glover revealed he and his brother Donald are turning the Lando Disney+ series into a movie
Donald Glover originally played a younger Lando Calrissian in 2018's Solo: A Star Wars Story, a role first played by the iconic Billy Dee Williams in the original Star Wars trilogy, and again in Rise of Skywalker. While Solo was the first Star Wars bomb of the Disney era, Glover earned strong marks for his work as the charismatic gambler and smuggler. The Lando television series was initially announced back in December 2020.
In April, Donald Glover told GQ of a potential project with Lando, saying he wasn't interested in something that would be a waste of time, and it had to feel right to him to keep going. "I would much rather spend time with people I enjoy. It just has to be the right thing, which I think it could be. Lando is definitely somebody I'd like to hang out with. We're talking about it. That's as much as I can say."
Glover has become somewhat of a reliable force over at Disney, pulling off a hat trick by having roles in Star Wars, Marvel Studios, and Disney studios films with the Lion King remake. Glover's mega-hit Atlanta is also on the Disney-owned FX.
