Tostitos chips are being recalled across 13 states due to an undeclared allergen, Frito-Lay announced in a statement on Wednesday.

The company voluntarily recalled a limited number of Tostitos Cantina Traditional Yellow Corn Tortilla Chips after discovering they may contain an undeclared milk allergen.

Customers with an allergy or sensitivity to milk should not consume the recalled chips and should dispose of them immediately.

The recall affects less than 1,300 bags of Tostitos tortilla chips. The affected products can be identified by the following information:

Why Were the Tostitos Chips Recalled?

The Tostitos chips were recalled due to an undeclared milk allergen. Frito-Lay said the recalled products may contain nacho cheese tortilla chips, which have milk.

The company said customers with an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk "run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction" if they eat the recalled chips. To date, no allergic reactions have been reported in connection to the recalled Tostitos chips.

What To Do If You Have the Recalled Tostitos Chips

If you have a milk allergy or sensitivity, do not consume the recalled Tostitos chips. Throw them away immediately. If you can consume milk, the affected products are safe to eat.
