Alex Rodriguez Spends Time With Ex-Wife Cynthia Scurtis After Split From Jennifer Lopez

Lopez recently rekindled her relationship with ex, Ben Affleck.

Jennifer Lopez isn't the only one spending time with an ex. Apparently, Alex Rodriguez has been reconnecting with his ex-wife, Cynthia Scurtis.

On Saturday, June 12, Rodriguez posted a series of Instagram photos from a recent workout with his ex-wife, including an Instagram story you can see here. “Cynthia is a world class mommy to our girls … wrapping ice though?!?!?! LOL,” he wrote over a video of Scurtis helping to ice his leg.

Scurtis and Rodriguez were married from 2002 to 2008 and share two daughters, Natasha and Ella. The former baseball player also featured his ex in some selfies posted to his Instagram grid from the workout.

Back in April, Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez ended their engagement after two years of dating. “We have realized we are better as friends and look forward to remaining so,” they said in a joint statement to Today. “We will continue to work together and support each other on our shared businesses and projects. We wish the best for each other and one another’s children. Out of respect for them, the only other comment we have to say is thank you to everyone who has sent kind words and support.”

However, the split was reportedly more one-sided than the statement suggested. Later that month, a source told Us Weekly that Rodriguez was hoping to reconcile with his is ex-fiancé. “A-Rod will not give up on his and J. Lo’s relationship,” a source told the publication at the time. “He is willing to do anything to make it work.”

However, sources claim Rodriguez was just as shocked as the rest of us when Lopez reunited with her ex, Ben Affleck, in late April. “He truly thought they would be able to make it work and reconnect," a source told E! News. "He has been reaching out to J.Lo trying to meet with her and she has been very short with him.”

When asked by Page Six about their trip to Montana in early May, Rodriguez replied, “Go Yankees.”
